From the community, for Budesti, more than 2,500 trees and shrubs. The second action “Planting good deeds” this autumn took place in Budesti
More than 150 volunteers – locals, residents of the capital, representatives of international organizations and local environmental NGOs – took part in the second action “Planting good deeds in Moldova” this autumn, which took place on 18 November place in Budesti, Chisinau. On eroded land, near a tributary of the Bălţata River and a spring, over 2500 trees and shrubs were planted. The event was attended by volunteers from “Million Trees Moldova” promoters such as Oliva, BioFlame, Creavita, Bons Offices and Tucano along with students from the “Vasile Lupu” Theoretical High School in Bucharest and from “Budesti” High School who came with teachers and friends.
Local volunteers from Italy, the United States of America, Japan and France, who worked side by side together, also joined the local community and the people in the capital. “This means that the mentality is changing, people are starting to think differently, that we are still going forward. And I still think that through work and effort we can do things that seem sometimes impossible. I thank all the participants, the community, the “Budesti” Theoretical High School in the locality and “Vasile Lupu” in Chisinau, the volunteers of the international organizations and the local environmental NGOs, the local councilors, thank the organizers and the partners – Natura Costiuc, mayor of Budesti.
“We want more events like this. The air is very clean here and the weather was wonderful. I learned how to plant trees properly. We also liked having a lunch break and we all eaten together. It really seemed fun to me, “said Elena, a pupil in the 7th house.
