On November 25, in Baltata, Criuleni, the last planting event “Plantam fapte bune in Moldova” took place, where over 150 volunteers, from the country and abroad, planted about 1100 shrubs on an area of 7 hectares. The purpose of planting this time was to create the area of protection of the tributaries of the tributaries and the river Bălţata.
Following the discussions at the meetings of the Bălţata River Sub-Bazinal Council, together with the representatives of the Local Public Administration and with our partners at the UfU, we decided to plant a protected area of the tributaries’ of the Bălţata River.
The plantation was attended by the teachers and pupils of the “Princess Natalia Dadiani” high school, citizens from the locality, the teams from Oliva, Tucano, Bio Flame, Bons Offices, Chisinau Polygraphic Compound, MEGA, UNDP Moldova, Biodiversity Moldova, Peace Corps and EVS and many others friends and volunteers.
Every time, planting comes new people. People come with their families, friends, and even work colleagues. We are also delighted to be volunteers from the very first edition, representatives of international organizations and projects, volunteers from local environmental organizations, and even very well-known business people in our country.
“Plantam fapte bune in Moldova” is a project carried out in 2015 by the same group that initiated the “Million Trees Moldova” project in 2017.
